The winner qualifies to represent the county in the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship, since the disbandment of the Connacht Senior Club Hurling Championship after 2007 due to lack of competitiveness. The current champions are Sarsfields, who defeated Craughwell in the 2015 final. ==History== The most successful club as of 2012 are Castlegar who have won the championship on 17 occasions, winning their last title in 1984.
